Wordfast Trick: How to Open *.glp Files in Wordfast Pro 3

I have Wordfast Pro 3 installed in my PC, and I was recently offered a GlobalLink Package (GLP) file to do the translation. I usually work on *.txml files in Wordfast Pro 3 environment.

I tried many times to open the GLP file, and I failed again and again. I also tried to search on google for a solution, but many other users say that Wordfast Pro 3 does not support the package and Wordfast Pro 4 is needed.

Finally I had an idea and I tried, and it worked. Here’s my solution:

Since GLP file is a package file, so Step 1: press F2 and rename the file, change the extension name from glp to zip.

Step 2: unzip the file.

Step 3: I got all the working files (txlf files plus xml file). Success!

Note: txlf files can be opened directly via Wordfast Pro 3 (just like txml files), and the xml file can be opened by your browser (Chrome, IE, etc.), which contains the information of remote tm and glossary.
